Leonel Lacayo

Leonel Lacayo is a young entrepreneur from Managua, Nicaragua. He has a B.S in Economics from Franciscan University of Steubenville. As  a founding member of the Nicaraguan Bitcoin Foundation, he is highly interested in growing the crypto-currency eco-system in Latin America.


Greg Simon

Mr. Simon is a Wall Street executive with 15 years of equity sales experience. Director of Pan Asian Equity sales Head of Account Strategy for Macquarie Securities Japan. Prior to that, he served as the Head of International Equity Sales for JP Morgan Chase Securities, Japan. he holds an MBA from Columbia University, and a BA from University of Nebraska. he also studied at Nanzan Unversity in Nagoya, Japan. Mr. Simon is a US CPA. Mr. Simon is also fluent in Japanese. He is an avid traveller visiting over forty countries last year alone.

Scott Kelly

As an active entrepreneur in Nicaragua Scott has experience with a range of technical implementations. With a background in both IT and sustainable energy Scott has developed a specific focus on off-grid mining. Past experience in the IT industry with both corporate and government sectors provide a deep tool box to reach into. He now applies himself as a founding member of the Nicaragua Bitcoin Foundation to promoting the benefits of crypto currencies for developing economies.


Sean Dennis

Sean Dennis grew up predominantly in the Middle East (Dubai) and Switzerland, and comes from a business background.  With a BA in Business and French from the University of Wales, and an MsC in Property Valuation and Law from the City of London Business School, he specialized in Real Estate, earning a further qualification as a member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor.

Working in London for leading Commercial Real Estate Advisor, Cushman & Wakefield, he chanced upon Nicaragua on vacation, and never looked back. Now a long term resident in Nicaragua, working in real estate, and with a number of other businesses specializing in Latin America.  He is a founding member of the Nicaragua Bitcoin Foundation. Jonathan Rogiest

As a Belgian national having grown up in Zaire and Nigeria, Jonathan Rogiest graduated in Europe. With a BA in International Business Administration he received a dual degree from the University InHolland in Amsterdam and the Business University of IPAG in Nice, France. After specializing in IT and Marketing at both universities, he worked in Amsterdam for Dell and

Jonathan moved to Nicaragua in 2006 as a founder of the Totoco project located on Isla de Ometepe. In 2012, he sold his stake in this development and is currently the co-founder and co-owner of Xalli Ometepe Beach Hotel also on Ometepe.

As one of the founding members of Nicaragua Bitcoin Foundation, Jonathan is passionate about Bitcoin and the ability for crypto currencies to revolutionize how business is done throughout Nicaragua and Central America. His passions are diverse and include Open Source technologies, sustainable development and entrepreneurship, to mention but a few.
